About

Bio

At its core, LUMENS is about embracing the raw, unfiltered moments of life: the struggle, the chaos, the resilience, and the triumphs. They are the declaration, the reflection, and the call to arms for those who challenge, who question, and who feel too deeply.

Formed in Adelaide, South Australia in 2022, LUMENS channel that spirit into progressive metalcore that is heavy, honest, and full of energy. The four-piece deliver technical, progressive riffs, crushing breakdowns, soaring melodies, and cathartic release. Music that doesn't just sound heavy — it feels heavy.

Their early singles HNSN, Tamam Shud and Purist Hate turned heads nationally, securing Triple J airplay, Homegrown + Heavy playlist placements, and selection as a Triple J Unearthed Feature Artist. The self-titled debut EP arrived in 2025 and made an immediate impact, hitting 100,000 streams in its first week, reaching #19 on the AIR Charts, and seeing the band showcased at Bigsound.

Now signed to Wild Thing Records, LUMENS are stepping into their next chapter with bigger, more introspective and emotionally raw material. Their new single CYBER (10 July 2026) slips into the shadows where desire turns dangerous — seductive clean melodies intertwine with taunting screams, crushing progressive riffs and explosive choruses exploring the psychology of craving something known to ruin you.

LUMENS thrive on contrast: punishing yet uplifting, chaotic yet deeply connecting. It's music born from genuine belief and the pure joy of loud, unapologetic heavy music. No gimmicks. No pretending. Just four guys from Adelaide making the heavy music they genuinely believe in.

CYBER (Single)

10 July 2026 • Wild Thing Records

'CYBER' slips into the shadows where desire turns dangerous. Told from the perspective of the craving itself, the track coils around the listener with seductive menace — a haunting voice that promises comfort while tightening its grip. Seductive clean melodies intertwine with taunting screams that shift from intimate whispers to vicious aggression. Crushing progressive riffs and explosive choruses drag the listener deeper into the psychology of craving something known to ruin you. Intimate, predatory, hypnotic, and deeply unsettling.
